Hung up on a lyric (Australian 20.02.06)

Hung up on a lyric
eat more fish, toxins or not
nurse goes trout kissing
sex toy a ‘mustn’t have’
future of society
rapist or conspiracy victim?
the age of uncertainty
before taking umbrage, be sure you carry no baggage
one man at the vortex of tragedy
look at me, look at me
I’m doing my best, so don’t compare me with dad

Our sacred things (Herald Sun 20.02.06)

Our sacred things
mates are numb with heartache
lost in a sea of mud
big loss a big puzzle
cartoon deaths spiral
organ donations soar
you’ll have to stretch for it
laughter dies by a roadside
charges over killing error
stately event full of colour
civil war blue
